Where's the update?
Looks like it's the end of another month! The team has been working on a few things and I wanted to take a moment to clarify. Dinobyte Softworks had evolved in ways that I couldn't even imagine. Right now the team is hard at work on our Unannounced First person Narrative game. We have been working on it for a little over a year now. It has taken us a while to really find out what we wanted to make of it.
Yes, we are working on something new. It's still mainly in its infancy but we are loving what we are building. Once its ready, we will reveal what we have been working on. Stay tuned, you wouldn't want to miss out when we announce it.
What happened to BlackHill???
Yikes where do I even start?
BlackHill has been part of my game development journey since the very begginning. My love for the little pig started back in 2013 when a programmer and I teamed up to create a Flappy Bird Clone. We thought, well why not!?
After the games release on the Google Play store I set my sights on a bigger game. However, I didn't know what it was going to turn out to be.
Fast forward to today....
The story of our little pig has gone through many changes. Now we have been hyper focused on making it right. Currently the team size for BlackHill is 4. We were trying to get the demo ready just in time for Steams Next Fest. Unfortunately we will not be able to make it by the deadline.
Instead, we will be releasing the demo when its ready to Itch.io and as a demo build on Steam but not during the Next Fest. BlackHill's development will still continue, we actually brought on 2 new hires for the project. Marc O' Kelly an Illustrator & Sequential Artist (Marc O'Kelly (artstation.com), and Ciarra Pemelton a Narrative Designer for the game. With their help, I truly believe that we can making something that's enjoyable to play!

It's been a while since our last update. We wanted to recap everyone on what has been going on the last few years.
The team has been hard at work on a new project that has not been announced yet. The focus of this project will be a narrative driven experience that we can't wait to reveal to everyone! More info on that soon!
There are a lot of you who have been waiting patiently on the next update for our game BlackHill. The good news is, you don't have to wait much longer for a new update. The next update for BlackHill will be the first week of November! So keep and eye out!
BlackHill now has a steam page! You can wishlist it now to be notified when it launches!
As for BlackHill the kickstarter page is still up. We are working on the rewards and what kind of rewards we would like to deliver. Be notified once the Kickstarter Launches as well by visiting this link!

I would like to thank everyone who has followed/checked up on the game so far! We are really trying to build something special and fun. There are some new updates to the project, I will be discussing them below. (this will be a text based update, no images) …maybe

The game itself has seen better days. We (me), hit a designer block recently and it kept me from making regular updates to the game. I had to step away from the game for a little bit. Now recovered and at full force with the game.
The demo is what we are still working on. We want it to be the best that It can be. Soon we will be looking for testers so we can ensure quality for everything we put out! Providing us feedback and reporting any bugs seen in the game.
Once thing that this project needed was a set time to give updates on all our major sites that we give updates to. (yoyo games, tigsource, amino app, discord, patreon) We will have two different types of updates. If you are a patreon supporter, you will receive the updates first. Then later would be the regular updates to all the other websites we update the game to.
This is a bit of exciting news for us. We will be launching a WebToon series for BlackHill in the near future! We are excited to tell other stories within the BlackHill universe. More details on this will come soon!

The Dinobyte Softworks site has gone live!
Holy crap this is really exciting! Lets get everyone who hasn't seen the game up to speed on who we are and what we are working on!
Currently the team is working on a little game called BlackHill, which is an amazing 2D pixel platformer with some topdown elements that will have your on a journey through a world which our protagonist Bo (piggy) is seeing for the first time. We are hard at work making this game as amazing a sit can be.
This site will be used to keep everyone updated on the progression of the game, as well as any other projects we are part of. If you are really looking forward to our game, be sure to subscribe to our mailing list, and follow us on twitter! This will help you stay updated of any new blog posts/ info on demos/ beta releases and in the future the release of the game.
We want to share this grand adventure that Bo will be taking, with as many people as possible! providing us feedback on our work/development of the game. Huge thank you to anyone and everyone who has followed us so far!
